Her role:

Veronica is responsible for designing, developing, coordinating and implementing workshops, training and manufacturing programs, and blended learning-development programs. She works in two linguistic environments—50% in her mother tongue with colleagues in Latin America and 50% in English with her supervisor and colleagues in France, Atlanta and Montreal.  

Her goals:
  • To improve her spoken English (accent, pronunciation and fluidity) in order to better communicate and negotiate with colleagues, external consultants and her supervisor
  • To improve her written English for presentations, training sessions, emails and reports
In her own words:

“I liked the style and structure of the virtual classroom. The instructor made the content relevant for my job and life, so the classes were very dynamic, interactive and interesting. I have incorporated these new skills into my daily life: when I speak with my supervisor, during conference calls and when I write an email. I can express myself more clearly in English and I feel more confident. I also appreciated the ability to attend classes when I was away from my office.”

As a result of achieving her goals, Veronica was recently promoted to Technical Training Manager for Latin America and Eastern Canada.
